What happens when you got the best of the best from yesteryear? I have the maxed-out variant of the OnePlus 6T (8/256GB, which also took this photo you’re seeing right now) but I want the McLaren variant with extra 2GB of RAM just to satisfy my collecting habit.

Out of the blue, there’s a message. A person offering something special. It’s the McLaren variant…of the OnePlus 7T Pro. Even better. We talked for hours until we made a deal. I got his, he got mine. We swapped. I think it’s a fair trade.

And the beast itself, wow. Still fluid as ever in 2024. The fingerprint sensor is lightning fast, compared to my 6T’s busted one which doesn’t work anymore. I know many tech enthusiasts hate the curved screen with a passion, but it does compliment the McLaren branding, being all about speed and slickness.

And surprisingly, the phone’s market value never really dipped that bad even now. You can find one in the ol’ Facebook Marketplace at around Php12,500 to Php15,500. Not bad for a 2019 phone. This phone’s batchmates crashed pretty hard in regards to their marketvalue.

I will definitely enjoy this phone until I find another phone to obsess at. Maybe tomorrow, or later.
